I know what SMS and the Three network are but I'm lost after that.

if this then that - an automation thing that you connect different services to then it lets you trigger things based on specific events

the Harmony is a universal remote control that lets me press one button for "watch tv" and it turns on the tv, turns on the UPC box, turns on the amp, selects the corrrect input on the amp, selects the correct input on the TV, then lets me change TV channels on the UPC box and change the volume on the amp, all from one remote control (or smartphone app) instead of using a TV remote, a UPC remote and an Onkyo remote. Best thing EVER.

It can be annoying in that regard. Get in at a quiet time, head straight to the shirts then the till and out again. No loitering.
