Not a neighbourhood I'd ever thought I'd live in but I'm liking it. I can sit in my bedroom window even in the rain because the pushes out and up so it acts as a cover. Lots of clothes lines and gardens amongst the bricks. Pretty sure I just saw lightening too.

What kind of place did you move to you mad person???

I briefly lived in a neighborhood like that a few years ago. Once they found out we were living there and not just passing through the local kids adopted us and offered us protection (at no extra cost). It was great!

Saw my first Halloween fire last night on the way to the pub.
A few nights ago the kids had some industrial clear wrap they were putting around road signs making it difficult for people to pass.*
I feel a photo essay in the works. So far, they're nice to me and by nice I mean they ignore me.









*I live in a cul-de-sac so less terrible than a thru street but still dangerous.

My favourite Donovan moment, where he plays a song which sounds like a Dylan B-side, much to Bob's amusement. And then Bob takes the guitar and plays Its all over now Baby Blue. The expression on Donovan's face at the end is priceless.

donovan seems to have gotten a lot of stick for being a "poor man's dylan". who wasn't influenced by dylan? he was just more obvious about it, image-wise. to his credit, he made some amazing pop records. hurdy gurdy man being my favourite.

If I was at home I'd take you on my annual tour of bonfires in Tallaght. It's amazing craic. Except the year the year some dick threw live bullets into one. There's always one.
