i think i'm going to do a reinstall of the os. there's a few programs acting up now. Reaper keeps crashing when opening the FX/VST window for each track.

i had to do a reinstall of the os and it hasn't changed a thing with regards the keyboard. the other problems got sorted out so two out of three aint bad.

looks like i'll have to start saving for a M-Audio Axiom
