Just found out about this lad the other day, been listening to Fully Qualified Survivor all week. It has a bit of that late 60s folk rock sound I dislike but I'm enjoying it all the same, he has a great voice and the songs are pretty lush. I tried The Resurection and Revenge of The Clayton Peacock that thurston moore put out recently. Its not so great. Anyone got any further thoughts or suggestions?

I'm also in the market for some good singer songwriters I might not have heard of so suggestion pliz. No West Coast or clod-hopper folk rock shite like Richard Thomson. Like, they should be songs with singing and melodies but a cut above the average. I want people of the calibre of Roy Harper and Joni Mitchell.

This is worth a look as well -

Is John Martyn too obvious?

I really like this compilation: Zigzag: 20 Junkshop Soft Rock Singles

Really we crafted early 70's AOR tunes.

Listening to that steve ellis one - sounds nice! Lyrics are a bit gammy but i like the guitars.

Does anyone like Annette Peacock? What I've heard has been a bit patchy but X-Dreams is a fantastic album

Fantastic.

Decent enough gig in Dublin, not much of a turnout though. he did a fair bit of instrumental finger picking stuff which I generally have fairly limited patience with but I enjoyed this, and he played a fair few songs too, I didn't recognize any of them. His voice is still great.

great playing
