"Fuckin' Epic. Expendable Youth's 6 minute thrashy melodic crust dominates faces. The song is full of palm muted harmoninzing metallic guitar riffs, screeching vox, and sum pounding fuckin drums that make up Expendable's sick style. Also there is a pretty as shit clean part that will make you want to slow dance until the song blasts you in the face again. Theres alot of bands doing this style right now, but few do it nearly as good, and out of that few Expendable is one of the best. And on the other side of the split is a band from ireland called Cut the Reins. I heard a demo before and since then something incredible happened to them between that time because their side is pretty fucking cool. "Built from the Inside" is a dark melodic song with an upbeat tempo mixed with passionate yelled vox that are refreshing. Isolation is very From Ashes Rise sounding with some very cool RAMBO like gang vox. Overall I would compare them to a more upbeat From Ashes Rise with Requiem sounding vox."

Anthrax - One Last Drop LP

It took a while but was well worth the waiting for those who didn´t got the CD Version already and those who have waited to get this Vinyl edition of the ANTHRAX Discography since it´s extremely well made and beautiful and not only comes with a huge Postersleeve but also with some nifty stickers and a Patch plus some never seen before Live shots and liner notes. Nice to see this material released again by themself and being down to earth with it.

A long time ago there was a whole bunch of anarcho punk bands in the UK producing great songs with angry lyrics of protest and passion. The words were important, the message was meant to be heard and the music was not just about being as monotonously DBeat as possible. These bands also often came up with amazing artwork capturing the essence of their critique, translating the lyrics into pictures. Anthrax were one of these. This discography lovingly self produced, with a fold out card cover, by members of the long defunct band is a reminder of how inspiring that (Crass inspired) “movement” was. This ranks along side Zounds, Omega Tribe, Mob etc as essential protest music of the 1980´s, still relevant to this day.

ANTHRAX were an Anarcho Punk band formed in Gravesend, Kent in 1980. they recorded their first demo in 1981 and went on to release two 7" eps on crass records and small wonder. they appeared on compilations released by CRASS RECORDS, MORTARHATE Records and FIGHTBACK Records. they toured outside the UK twice in the Netherlands with dutch band THE EX.

Skinny passed away in November of 2009, this cd is dedicated to his 25 year bass rumbling with tracks from the bands the played in over the years such as PARANOID VISIONS in the early 80's, COITUS in the early 90's, STAGNATION from the mid to late 90's and COLDWAR from the turn of the century till his untimely passing in 2009, there are 2 benefit shows in Feb (Dublin) and March (London) 2010 to raise money for his wife & kids and all money raised from the sale of this cd will also be donated to his family.

Knifed - Discography LP

Started up in 2002 and sadly ending in 2004, Knifed were a hardcore/thrash/punk/homoerotic band from Dublin.
Theses 27 fast raging thrash hardcore songs are collected from their split 7" with Limpwrist, their split 7" with Bastard Youth, split 12" with Sciectific Bong and tracks from numerous compilation albums,
After only two years, Knifed had three releases, played all over Ireland and also managed to do two extensive tours of the Uk taking their notorious live show on the road. Knifed live were incendiary, with front-man Mero sometimes dressed in a wrestling leotard, S&M gear, a hockey mask or just masking tape depending on how the mood took him.
As if this band isn't legend enough, we now present to you a limited editon discography lp to carry on their legacy! Knifed for Life!!

Plasmid - EP 7"

80's UK Fast Raw hardcore punk, this is some very fast angry raw punk played with aggression that is carried through into the lyrics which are very strong political and personal dealing. Its got alot of artwork you would expect more from the peace punk scene but has just a bit of the raw edge which you find in the music. Think AntiSect, mixed with early Finnish 80's hardcore.

Anaeroba "Over the Walls and Borders" LP
The second album from this band from Slovenia, this first came out on CD and I had heard it was coming out on vinyl so I delayed for around year before I could get my hands on it, well worth the wait gate-fold cover and coloured vinyl, but nevermind the music itself is fantastic and crustal sound that reminds me a lot of Scotitsh Anarcho/crust bands like Scatha, Sedition and Constant Fear with lyrical subjects dealing with ALF, sexism and all the usual. Anaeroba have a great sound that is kinda of 10 years behind the sound of crust today and this is great as it is playing stuff that we love but it is only played by bands that seem not to exist anymore. Real kinda filthy Crust that seems to take the best parts of the best bands and mash it into their sound. Artwork done by Stiv. Tis great stuff and well worth checking out:

Its a mix of early 80's Scandi Hardcore like Tampere SS and Kaaos with that of Japanese distortion.
