Privatisation of services is the worst idea ever.

Stealth Taxation, erosion of services, erosion of accountability. A robust public sector has a stabilising effect on economic cycles - private firms just lay people off when time are tough. And anyone who believe private firms are magical mystical engines of efficiency is a fucking idiot and has probably never worked in one.

My bins are collected 3 times a week - for free, in a "poor" country.
