I'm going to Los Angeles for a week at the end of the month.
I'll only be free on the evenings, and don't have a lot of money to spend. Staying in Culver City. Will probably rent a bicycle.

Any recommendations?

Parks and Gardens? In and Out burger? etc etc...

Cheers in advance!

Culver Citiy is about 5 miles to Venice.
In'n'Out Burgers, secret menu, "Double Double-Animal Style"
Tommy's Original Burgers. There's one on Lincoln Blvd.
Santa Monica Pier is another 5 or so miles North along Pacific Coast Hwy.
3rd St. Promenade in Santa Monica for any shopping.
Lot's of great 'hole-the-wall' Mexican joints around there too.
If you get a chance to go to downtown LA, Olvera St. for tasty mexican.
Or, El Coyote on Beverly Blvd. for good margerita's andgood food.
You can rent a bike on the Venice Boardwalk. Don't know what the rates are or if you can rent for more than one day at a time. Mill most likely be a single gear beach cruiser.

all that said, LA is a big place. You'd really want to hire a car if at all possible. You could probably get a rent-a-wreck for about 20 bucks/day.

Cheers man, that's great.

any of your touring party drive? 5 miles to Venice or West Hollywood doesn't seem like a long way, but when the sun is going down, and youre on a beach cruiser with no light and youre sweating to fuck, it can seem a lot further. Especially when everyone around you is looking out their car windows thinking, 'what the fuck is that guy doing'?
Depending on where youre at in Culver City, ye might be able to hop on a bus to the coast. Anyone looking after ye while youre there? In most cases, Los Angelinos don't have an issue with distance and are happy enough showing some guests around.
