Yesterday I was in Xtra vision in Enniscorthy and I was waiting in Q to rent 1984 when this American guy around 60 was standing behind me and asked me if I liked Orwell and we had this mad conversation about Socialism and Orwell in General. We talked for about 20 minutes as this skangers were renting half the games in the shop.

And then today while in Tescos this guy I know that works there reduced the stuff I was going to buy by putting stickers on it for me.

Well?

i was in oxfam beside stephen's green on wednesday buying tea and coffee. there was two auld ones working behind the counter and while one worked the cash register the other one asked me if i wanted a bag. i said "nah thanks, i've got one", to which she replied "that's the great thing about you young people today - you've always got bags on your backs". what a great absurdly positive attitude towards a random (and crazy) observation. :D

yesterday i was heading out to work and was in a fairly bad mood as i had slept through a meeting with the editor in chief. oh no.
but as i left my house there was this little girl of about five skipping along with a beagle puppy with the mum walking a few paces behind keeping an eye on her. but she and the puppy were such a cute combination and so carefree that my fears evaporated; and it definitely put a wee smile on my face as i hopped into a taxi and raced towards impending doom.

yesterday me and muffin were on the bus into town and there was a fillipino woman and her two little boys on the bus.the kids were so happy and excited and good natured, they were a joy to be on the bus with. when we got off the bus the mam started singing a song to them about a sunny day in dublin which she was makin up as as she went along and they were joining in and putting in lines n stuff. warmed the cockles.

Yesterday, on the top floor of the 84,I stood up, pulled down my pants and knickers and successfully changed my fanny pad, while mooning the american embassy.

You do know the driver can see everything on the upper deck?

I'd say that made your day AND his.

Double points for trianglegrrrl.

curse you. I'm meant to be starting mine this week. my excuse for not starting is that my new laptop hasn't been delivered yet.

things that have been making my day lately: kopparberg mixed fruit, getting taken for lunch in ba mizu (yum yum yum), baked potatoes with cheese, new fambly guy. and i had a lie-in this morning which was gorgeous.
