So I am thinking of treating myself to one of these tvs for christmas, there is a local shop that is offering 12 months interest free credit, the two that i am looking at are
Phillips and Sharp

so has anyone had any experience with these kind of tvs, apparently now the newer versions have ironed out all the bugs

thanks

richard

PS Merry Christmas

I've got me a similar model to that Philips one, a 28" version and very nice it is too. I'm using mine as a PC monitor and it's pretty mind blowing.

Not that I know too much about tvs be just in case you're not much into em yourself - I reckon you'll need a digital signal at least to get the best outta your set. When I connected either an analogue aerial or non HD games console, the picture doesn't look the best cos basically the screen is too sharp and shows up all the imperfections!

We got one of the DELL 26" LCD TV's they were knocking out for 500 odd euro a few weeks ago, and we're very pleased with it. Currently have a crappy cable signal but PS2 and DVD picture is great. Haven't even connected the laptop to it yet.

It does take a while to get used to the brighter picture though.
