Keiron Black & The Amazing Few!
E.P launch (Worm Song)
Sugar Club
Sunday June 25th
12 euro doors 8pm
On the night there will be live performances
From The Pale, Chuzzle, Matt Lunson
When he's not onstage playing bass guitar with Dublin band Sack, Keiron Black's solo journey traverses a beguiling mixture of abstract storytelling and unstoppable energy, culminating in a unique experience that doffs his bowler hat to Beefheart while winking at Hamell On Trial.
Originally from Seattle, Black played with The New Bohemians in the mid 90's before releasing 3 singles and an album on the Red Gecko label with college favorites Idol Minds. Based in Birr, Co Offaly and Dublin for the last few years Black co-runs ( with Sack guitarist John Brereton) two very successful open mic nights in the city, Sunday Roast and The King Kong Club.
The Amazing Few (featuring Colm Querney on guitar, Bill BlackMoore on trumpet, Matt Lunson, Miriam Ingram and Sorcha Leech on vocals, Brian O'Toole and Zamo Riffman on Rhythm) coming shortly off the back of his last two sold out shows at Bewley's cafι Theatre, and his appearance at the Birr Vintage Festival where he recorded live his song "Sponsored" for inclusion on "The Garden Sessions" a charity compilation for Hospice that also features live recordings from Mark Geary, Roesy, Joe Chester, The Pale and Mundy, due out in July.
With his debut E.P.– produced by Colm Querney – in the can and due for a June 25th release, Mr. Black is planning to wow Irish audiences - just like he has done in New York, Melbourne, Paris, Lyon and Switzerland – with a roller coaster ride of open hearted emotion, frantic guitar playing and massive dollops of charisma. Hold on to your hat, the ride is about to begin!
People Keiron shared the stage with; Declan O'Rourke, Matt Lunson, Turn, Stone Gossard, Chuzzle and Mundy just to name a few….
