just supposing you were opening a second hand record shop...

Where would you start?

Obviously you'd need a shed load of stock and a premises but what sort of forms would you be filling out? Red tape and tax and all that shite....

Galway could do with something like that.
yes, yes it definitely could...it's nigh on impossible up here to get cheap cds. At least when I'm at home in Cork I can head to Plugd (who have some second hand cds but generally have reasonably priced cds) or Vibes and Scribes...actually, Dublin's obviously got the best choice, but Galway's got very little.

Are you opening it here ? Go round to Spindizzy, Freebird etc and find out why you should and shouldn't, I reckon there's a few more reasons not to at this stage. Lots of music that people want is ubiquitous online these days. Why more and more people would develop such an expensive habit like collecting vinyl and cd's at this stage is beyond me. It's just a hell of a lot harder to make a profit from these days.

how did you get on with this? find out any interesting info?
where would you be sourcing your records?
i'd definately travel for days on end if i could find one really good used record store in ireland
