Just For Kicks was a pivotal 12 track, black vinyl LP compilation, released by Kick records in December 1979, showcasing the very best of unsigned, new wave Dublin bands.

It is a highly rare and coveted collector’s item due to its limited pressing, the inclusion of U2 and for the fact that The Edge played bass on the Teen Commandments’ track “Something’s Better than Nothing”. Thus becoming the earliest recorded collaboration by a member of U2 with another act.

i have a copy of this i got in a charity shop, covers tatty -think it was well played etc but its interestign all the same. hardly worth aything mind as collectors usually want mint condition

Have a very scratched copy of this at home. My sister used to pal around with Berlin. Never thought much of it but is a good oddity to have.

Used to see it around a lot,but not in a long time. I would have bought a copy only I was too stubborn to own nothing by U2.

Yeah, it's sad to think that this LP would almost be completely forgotten if it wasn't for the inclusion of U2.
