October is going to be an absolute whopper of a show for Clockwork Apple fans! Taking top spot are John Shelly & The Creatures with The Dirty 9s and hot newbies The Blue Choir providing support. For all details go to the website: http://clockworkapplepresents.wordpress.com

Press release:
Earlier this year John Shelly & The Creatures released their debut album Dinosaur which boasts a collection of tracks with "an exceptional grasp of texture, tone and theme" (Irish Times) and resulted in television appearances on the Late Late Show, Dave Fanning's The Eleventh Hour, BBC2 and TG4 Pop Ceol to name but a few. Lead single "Long May You Reign" was played live to an audience of 20,000 in the RDS Arena and is currently featured on the Northern Ireland Tourism Board advertisements running on tv, cinema & radio. If all that wasn't enough for a band still only really beginning their career, John Shelly & The Creatures have been played on Fm104, Rte One and Phantom 105.2 as well as performing with... Jedward! Can't believe that - check it out here.

The Dirty 9s have had the thumbs up from Jim Lockheart (Horslips) and also Manic Street Preachers producer Greg Haver who worked on their album "Stop Screaming, Start Dreaming" released last April, their single "Lucy Opus" was chosen as Today FM's download of the day by Tony Fenton and has received further airplay nationally. The 5 piece were also hand picked to be part of the 2009 IMRO showcase and have a licensing deal with the US based company Uncommontrax, who provide music for TV & Film including the massive hits Twilight & Entourage.

Taking to the stage first on October 15th will be The Blue Choir who are still riding high on the success of debut EP (dubbed by Jim Carroll as "superb") - "Get Ready For War" which snagged the band a place at Ireland's newest festival Vantastival earlier on in the year and had State.ie commenting on the performance as "incredible".
