Can anyone answer my previous post?

see if this makes sense

http://www.bikeforums.net/archive/index.php/t-804835.html

basically, the 622/700 numbers refer to the bead seat diameter (the inside diameter of the tyre). The outer diameter is 700.

My hybrid tyres has the following on its sidewall - "700 - 35 622 - 35"

35 is the width of my tire in mm, so I presume thats what that refers to.

What you're looking for though is 622 tyres. Thats the number you need to match for your rims.

Also, I reckon you might be better off getting tyres like that in a bikeshop. Had a quick look there and there wasn't much choice. I got my most recent ones up wheelworx in fonthill but I'm sure any bikeshop will have a good range for a bike of that type.

I thought the yank would have explained it to you. Sorry. You'll want 28"/700mm x 1.35"/37mm so anything around that says 622 or 700 and between 35 and 38 for the width will do.

If you scroll down through this page you can see they're all marked 700x37 etc so that matches with your inch measurements of 28x1.35. also added a bunch more different ones that all fit within what you need:

So 700 x 40 will work?

Yeah be about 5mm wider than what you had on it already and probably have a slightly lower max pressure. Be nice and cushioned if that's what you're after.

Hope you have a speedy recovery dude and always that remember chicks dig scars.

cheers lads. No car involved. I took a bend too quickly and the wheels came out from under me. Landed in a heap.

it was probably oil or diesel with a layer of dew on top that did it because theres no way it was cold enough for ice.

first fall in quite some time. Starting to get sore now....

Not that it helps but i nearly lost it on a familiar bend myself this morning. I think it might be a mixture of the dew and grit they put on the roads last week. It hasnt rained since and its greasy as hell!

thats mad. A mate of mine told me he saw a lad fall off exact same way I did this morning. I bet it is that poxy grit. Its a pain in the hole at the best of times.

If you go 16kmph which is slow enough it'll take a half hour? Not sure if thats your pace or not. Any way i do 10km cycle to work through the city stopping at lights and shit and it takes me a half hour on a bad day so you would be around that?
