October by a-ha captures the foggy mood well but is the weakest song on side 1 of scoundrel days. better than a good bit of side two though. The Soft Rains of April isn't too cheerful for a song about the start of summer though

I swear October is the most beautiful month. I went for a two hour walk last night and kicked leaves around. This morning Stephen's Green was breathtaking. The leaves, the smell of the air, the jumpers & scarves.... I love October.
