Had a lovely meal with the missus last night at the Porthouse on South William Street, however we ordered patas bravas with alioli- they were well over cooked, greasy and the alioli was just mayo. We sent them back commenting to ourselves that we could have bought it in spar. Cut to 3 hours later -a few more pints + bottle of wine, there we were in the centra on dame street buying up chips, ala garlic sauce, eating them until we had bits of stuff all over our face. I feel like we owe an apology to the chef.
