i know thumped is not a property porn sort of place, but i know the lad selling this - just to say hello to, mind.

note the cover of the strategically positioned magazine in photo #20.

It's a nice place and all that - but that haphazard using a bit of Irish crowbarred into what my instinct tells me is a mild james bond reference - i don't see it any different to the time someone called a whole housing estate in donegal Amalfi court. My instinct in both cases is that nobody here is learning italian or Irish, buuut they like the vague handwaving references.

CYBER PLAINS

I loved that story. Simpler times.

Billed as Ireland's first `cyber homes', the new Leixlip houses will provide an online Internet connection but are conventionally constructed with none of the `smart home' gadgetry associated with the type of `intelligent buildings' now being built in other countries.

We still have very occasional trouble with the name this house had when we bought it - trying to arrange delivery from a takeaway a couple of months ago, the address option on their site didn't recognise the basic 'house number street name' format.
I can't remember how we got it to work but eventually copped it was in their database as 'st xxxxxx's, street name '.
And very specifically, without the . on the 'st'.

FWIW I wanted to rename our house 'sea view' so when people asked me what the hell that was about, I could say 'sea level rise, I'm playing the long game'.
I think we're 50m or 60m ASL, about 5km from the sea.
