Mayonnaise is my biggest fear. I can't even think about it without feeling queasy. Eurgh even typing that was sick.
 
Me too! Add salad cream and mustard to that... But I suppose that was covered with sauce and condiment...
 
Salt - nearly always only
Vinegar- only if eating from a paper bag
Mayo - when I'm feeling European - but only for dipping or scooping, never poured on
Red sauce of any form - never, Jesus
Pepper - never, but a girl in work desecrates her chips with it.
 
They do look tasty ...

Do many people have deep fat fryers any more?

Most people seem to have chucked theirs in recent years.
 
no, i just remember deep fat fryers when everyone's house was burned down by deep fat fryers..

i remember the phrase 'chip pan fire' but assumed the chip pan referred to was the deep fat fryer pan

Pommes souffle
Devilishly hard to make.
You take a spud - turn it from square into rectangle
Cut it into strips about 2mm thick and about the size of a ketchup sachet
Knock of the corners slightly
Fry in oil - needs to be exactly the right temp
They magically puff up into little potato blimps
