This week we have a special Live laptop only night, with breaks, house and
electro mashed together live before your very ears.

2BiT - Live
Asciinoid (LMD64, seedyR) - Live
Sanf

The first guest this week will be Asciinoid (aka LMD64). Liam Dunne, co-founder
of seedyR records, has been producing electronic dance music since 1994.
Initially, his output was quirky, melodic chillout/big beat in the vein of Air,
Kid Loco with strong 50's/60's/70's influences. Lately, he has been veering more
towards funky house and jazz breaks, again with much usage of samples, disco
synths and snappy beats.
This is his venture into a harder, darker, New Wave-driven vibe, influenced by
Vitalic's hard drone techno and Alter Ego's 80's inspired synths and beats.

Following Liam will be 2Bit, this time playing a live set for Ice9. 2Bit's live
performance for us at the Ice9 BBQ's was one of the highlights for us and he
never misses the mark with his sets of electro, breaks and drum&bass. With
several releases under his belt and apparently loads of brand new tunes this
promises to be a real treat.

madness.

Good-o! So, are you coming along to the gig then, mister man?

Due to the outrageously short notice for this gig, I have to say no. I feel bad about this as I definitely owe you some gig attendance. More notice in future and I will be there. I am unusually busy this friday, I won't even know who was evicted from the Big Brother house until tomorrow.
How was Depeche Mode gig?

Grand, apart from the unfeasibly overexcited large german queen beside me who had an unfortunate tendency to pogo all over the shop. That and the fact that I don't actually know a lot of Depeche Mode songs, apart from the obvious ones (and they didn't even play 'Just Can't Get Enough', or even 'Rio'* for that matter).






* by way of being quite the amusing little quip, trés amusant, n'est pas?
