The maple fret board is really nice but I still would have preferred a rosewood board. Got it on ebay from the US for a little more than a secondhand sg.

Wow, I was reading about these guitars the other day. The Maya factory was destroyed in the Kobe earthquake.

How does it play?

Yeah I've been after one for a while, still on the hunt for one of their neck through body strats.

It plays great, nice neck & good weight. It may have a micro phonic hum problem. Gotta check it's grounded properly. Only other weird thing is with the 2 strap buttons at the back it makes the guitar sit kinda weirdly when Ur standing, stays very straight. Still love it though.

3 that I use.

Generic cheapo strat for everything - seems to have been made in the factory where the CXS squires come from.

Crafter acoustic 550 ex - functional bowlback acoustic. invincible.

EKO Acoustic - mostly for recording till i pay for a decent pickup.
