I'm looking to get a decent sound system for the DVD player and to play music on for our living room.
I'm not arsed about 5.1 - all I want is a good set of unobtrusive small stereo speakers and a sub.
Basically it has to replace my big sony amp and BIG sony speakers.
Any ideas???

if money wasn't an issue, i'd go for Bose acoutimass cubes!!! (maybe you could sort out a smaller amp)

bought a small pair of mission m31's a while back, nice and neat and sound deadly too, would recommend them no sweat.
