"Game ball" is a reprehensible expression -- one of those things that kind of says "if yer one a deh lads, sure yeh MUST be into football!" It's supposed to be a shirts-rolled-up, common-man expression, but it's really just as bad as, say, a golfing term entering common parlance. "Game ball" can go and have its shite. As can "very dodge" - even worse.
