I usually love Samhain, but with the ex and all, who really loves it, it's now a bit awkward. She was in the pub tonight, face painting. Good fun for everyone else.

I don't have to deal with stupid fireworks though.

Firework show lasted about 30 mins straight here and now it’s just every 2 minutes or so. I’m over it now, not even the pretty colours are saving it for me.

All quiet now. Watched a fall of the house of usher to see the evening out and now I’m going to go to bed and read a ghost story.

I hate junk food (the mess it makes mostly) but the kids deserve some fun.

Halloween is cool. Some cooler Americans get interested in Irish folklore, culture and the language through it.

first halloween in the sticks. I think I counted maybe 10 rockets go off all evening. The rain deffo helped. But its nothing like Halloween in Dublin which is fucking hell.
