I have just had a eureka moment.

How many post-it notes would you need to make a .012" feeler gauge? I have been getting more confident in truss rod adjustments, but I'm only eyeballing the action height so far.

I used to have a 30mm plec but that has been lost. would be handy for this.

get a multi size feeler gauge for less then a tenner in halfords!

Cool.

Like almost everything, YouTube has taken all the scariness out of it. Somewhere down the line I may invest in a set of proper measurement rulers.

Currently I'm getting the action near enough with the trus, then raising the strings individually at the bridge to the point of not buzzing. No idea what height they are at.

Too scared to go near adjustments at the neck yet for my bolt on, but don't think it is needed too often anyway.
