These guys were probably my biggest influence ion my foray into the world of bearddom. It's a close tie up between Under the Western Freeway and The Software slump for my favourite album. I'm not putting up a poll as then I'd have to pick one of them.

They were amazing in the village, probably the loudest gig I've ever been at. Fuckin blew the ears off me.
They're also the reason I wanna buy a synth.

Ciaran Crayonsmith played a gig with Jason Lytle 2 weeks ago in LA.
He still plays a load of Grandaddy songs in his live set, so all is not lost.

First 2 albums are great.
They got pretty boring after that.

I met him at a Yo la tengo gig - he was pretty approacable and hanging out down in the pit with the plebs.

Under the Western Freeway is the better of the two. there's some nice stuff on that todd zilla ep too. lytle came off like a whiney prick in that ticket interview some time ago....lemme find it......
