Shocking decision. Who do they think is going to do better with that team than Hughton has done so far? Must be a 'big name' lined up but they're supposed to have no money to spend, right? At least Hughton can put it on his CV that he left them in midtable instead of the relegation struggle that the next incumbent is likely to endure.

Ashley is undoubtedly a prick, but he's good enough for the self proclaimed 'best fans in the world'. They'll probably be singing for king kev or shearer again soon.

NUFC - Run by idiots, for idiots.

Not with Ashley in charge.
They need a sensible chairman, and a manager who won't promise instant success, but will do things slowly and right.
No reason Newcastle can't be battling for a Champions League place in a few years.

Sure they have a great infrastructure, huge stadium and dedicated fans.

Hughton has them 4 points behind 4th placed Bolton their results haven't been that bad they even lashed their neighbours beat Arsenal and got a point of the league champions for fuck sake. This is an absolutely ridiculous decision. Ray Wilkins and Hughton should team up and take Wolves to the champions league as a fuck you to their respective chairmen. Fucking monkeys are running football.

they deserve all they get now, assuming that it's not success. he's spent nothing on that squad and they've done well this season. hugton for ireland??

maybe he's just not pushy enough. reminds me of roy evans. boy, did we ever miss him once he'd gone.

Coulda been worse.....

Stan aside...

It couldn't. Odds on relegation this year 3/1 ?

What say you?
it COULD have been worse....but it can't really be any better than hughton, eh?

Pardew..apart from a cup final... what has he done. he's also apparentrly a bit weird. disaster waiting to happen. has previous in getting teams relegated after taking them over in december too.

To be fair to Pardew, that was a Charlton team who were already well ensconced in the relegation zone. He's one of these guys who'll do an okay job, no more, no less. Not the kind of guy you give a manager who's doing a decent job the boot to bring in.
