Gmail storage limits (1 Viewer)

So I am at 96% and getting a little antsy.

It seems that Google is using everything in Drive - including your photos toward your 15G limit.

14.46 GB (96%) of 15 GB used

Has anyone else strategised on workarounds on this?

EDIT: doh- set up a second account. then you have 30gb online.

Gmail is essentially my memory at this point.

If it happened before 2004, it didn't happen.

Yahoo mail has unlimited storage but they keep making it shittier.

Bumping up against my storage limit
By which I mean, I have been told by google I can't receieve any more gmails

The extra storage is cheap - But I feel like I need to set up a tidying habit with the photos
Like the mount of fucking sunrise photos alone
6 per sunrise times who fucking knows how many days?
Buying extra storage is just giving yourself a bigger pot to fill with crap

I've the 200gb thing. I do a bit of tidying to never go over that because i figure i should never have more stuff backed up that you can't just dump on an entry level hard drive if you want to leave the platform.

It's more like teh clutter you have to wade through to find anything, you know?

I have a once i a while thing going on - the drive storage gives out to me around 75% and I'll do an hour every month or two.

Delete all attachments in your email over 5 years old, see what that reclaims.

In my case it turned out I had 5GB or mp3s I had shared with a buddy years earlier I forgot about.

Then my wife bought 100GB a year and added me to it, problem solved forever I think for me. Until she takes another 150000 photos of the kids without editing and deleting most of the duplication.

Like I could have gotten away with this free storage if it wasn't for those damn kids
