GGI 2007 - first details (2 Viewers)

GGI is a three way DIY moving / rotating punk festival based on the punk links between Groninen (in the Netherlands) Glasgow ( in eh, Edinburgh) and Ireland.

Held in Wexford May 2004, Groningen Sept 2005 and Edinburgh Sept 2006 it returns to Ireland this year for it's fouth year.

This years fest has been taken on by some fine Belfast people and will be held early September in Belfast, 30 years on from Belfasts first punk explosion.


So fest is defo on and more details / myspace etc and also details of how to get invovled / help etc shall be forthcoming when the nordies are ready.

the fest will take place over the weekend of 24/25/26th august bank holiday.the venue for this 3 day extraveganza is the bunker bar,bradbury place,belfast. as this site has just been set up there won't be much info up as yet,but over the next week or so it will be constantly updated with regards to bands,prices,places to stay etc. if anyone has any questions regarding the fest please get in contact and we do our best to get back asap. bands confirmed so far include....fleas and lice,,heros and zeros,bud hoskins,uk deathcharge,runnin riot,the freebooters,the excuses,1000 drunken nights,still birth,slomatics(?),complan plus more to be confirmed.only fumes and corpses have confirmed now too(tues)

Who I'd like to meet:
anyone who can help out throughout the fest please get in touch.every little helps.we'll be looking a few people to help out with various activities including postering,accomidation,transporttation of people and equipment etc. so like i said no matter how little you can help please get in touch and let us know. also,any bands who can give out flyers at gigs/events beforehand to help spread the word please get in touch with an address we can send them to.hanx.
