any of you guys get really nervous before playing anymore?

the first time i got on stage i nearly fainted and i could never drink
i'm grand now, but having switched to playing guitar i'm reliving my nerve glory days!

yeah i get quiet, grumpy and nervous.

it evaporates as soon as you start but. It's all that bleedin waiting.

I always get very nervous

depends on the gig of course - some are nervier than others

it can generate a fight or flight reaction

i can never talk to anyone for about an hour after playing, my concentration just goes and i can't absorb anything anyone says to me

aye, the worst gigs I ever played were the ones when I went up on stage without being nervous. possibly due to the fact I was pissed. Pissed on stage=not as much fun as you might think in my experience

I used to get fierce nerves in the form of getting very very tired. Even slept through the band before us a few times. Not good.

never used to bother me but for a few years now it has. I get agitated and can't really talk to anyone. Usually feel a bit sick too. I'm grand after and could chat all night. That's another reason I don't like playing last, makes for a miserable night out. Unless there is room for loads of hanging out and drinking after, which there usually isn't.

Because I don't play very often I tend to get very nervous before gigs. All the tricky fingerpicking stuff really shows it up too. The hanging around is the worst, which is why i like to go on early. I'm alreay nervous about my launch which is still a month away.
