i was having bother with garageband, and found out today how to get a good export from garageband maintaining track seperation

copy the garageband file to a PC
open the folder
find the file with all the aiff's in it
copy that into a new folder
open as multitracks in the program of your choice

you wont carry over effects, mix settings etc, just track names -

thought it might be handy for anyone with demo's and stuff in that confounded program.

finally got to arse about with the most recent version of GB. i really like it. the amp sims are way better and the jam pack drum samples give you loads of options.

You mean the amp sims were worse than they currently are?
The current program is excellent and definitely more than just a toy to experiment with but amp sims are unusable IMO, except maybe the cleaner models. The Mesa and Marshal are terrible.
