as it was a an indie No.1 single the Jesus Lizard's - Puss (the split 7"w/ Nirvana) video was obligated to be shown on a chart programme on Saturday morning kids TV.

the best music review I ever read was in Melody Maker in summer 1993. Everett True said in nine words of a David Gray single:

"This is music for people who don't like music."

he was then on fake indie label Hut Records. they were beginning to have huge success with the Smashing Pumpkins and Verve at the time.
a few months later i totally gave up on 90's indie rock.
