Friday 90s rock video thread (1 Viewer)

as far as the lack of black artists on this thread goes... sadly you can't
rewrite history - 90's rockers were rarely black. sad but true.

MERCURY REV - Chasing A Bee (1991)

80's/90's Serb band who played post punk originally but became
more indie rock by end of 80's.
everything i've heard by them up until early 90's is cool.

i gave up on 90's indie rock in 1993 and much prefer post punk era now.
can hardly think of any bands that i liked after 1993 famous enough to make a video...
also i didn't watch TV at all in the mid 1990's.

SLAYER - Seasons In The Abyss (1990)

An amazingly underrated FNM song, absolute 90's alt-rock perfection. Love Mike Patton's britpop shirt, looks like a member of the Bluetones

They definitely nicked a bit of nice n'sleazy for that bass line, but it's still cool AF.

Paul Jones was the guitarist with Linoleum before joining elastica.
He works as an A&R man for rough trade now.

Is that the video MIA directed?

They were mad for lifting riffs but always put a good new tune on top. I saw them at the music centre gig circa the Menace tour. Muse supporting! At least half the crowd were there for Muse.

Is 2000 the 90s though, hmmmmm??

The Menace sounds better and better with each passing year tbh. Justine Frischmann was, what, about 30 when it came out? I remember being surprised that people that ancient could still rock out.
