I still don't get why everyone went so gaga over the first three.

I thought they were crap, I was really disappointed by them. I felt that Peter Jackson didn't do the books justice at all. I was shocked at how poorly some of the characters were adapted for the screen and the plot changes made the films seem much more low brow.

The Hobbit looks rubbish as well, and to make matters worse they're using that fucking horrible twee music again.

I thought the first one was great, 2nd one half good and the third one was really bad and totally wrecked Frodo's prospects of a career in the movies. I don't like the look of that trailer to be honest, it looks like Return of the King all over again. I'd say the two movies are going to be very padded-out as well.
