my comments MAY be very inaccurate?????

and he was the one that did the fuckin show.He even sends e-mails like a smug bastard:mad:

You might point out to him that his comments are available for all to hear at http://www.rte.ie/radio or thereabouts.

Does anyone know how to listen to the files they have on here.Windows media player won't play them for me,do i need real player???

you see that is the problem, your original e-mail claimed that i
stuck up for the Gardai, I did not. Will I say it again just so people can
hear me, The gardai were wrong and used over zealous means, now is that
defending the Gardai.

what is it with SU types? Power hungry freaks.

Tis the same here in DCU, they'd condemn anyone to keep their sponsors so they can feed themselves beer etc.

I think that once you become associated with SU you seem to become a wanker. Aprart from ENTS officer I suppose, but I'd never get involved because of all the arse licking that would be necessary and because of the fact that DCU students, in general, have no interest in live music if it isn't aslan or a Bob Marley/U2 cover band.

Blearrgh.

here's some highlights...

Dear Mr. Hourihane,

I regard the comments made by you on the Pat Kenny Show regarding Monday's police violence in Dublin to be a disgrace.

Your position as President of the UCD Students' Union has been brought into utter disrepute by the manner in which you have defended violent Gardai above protesters, many of whom, as UCD students, are supposedly meant to have their interests promoted by you. The Garda actions have been condemned today by An Taoiseach and representatives from all other parties. I call on you now to resign.

Coming so soon after your disputed re-election and your intimidation of on-campus media, I am astounded that you have chosen to now attempt to make political capital out of police violence in the centre of Dublin.

I am also sending a copy of this letter to your executive associates in UCD, members of staff in UCD and the executive members of other major Irish universities.

Yours,

Dear Mr. Hourihane,

I was writing after listening to the portion of the interview available at the RTE website. Your subsequent backtracking does not detract from the seriousness of your earlier comments.

As to the idea that I should "tread carefully", I repeat that you cheated in a UCD election which had to be abandoned as a result, and subsequently intimidated on-campus media. The returning officer and last year's College Tribune editors can confirm these matters if needs be. I presume you are already sueing the Phoenix magazine for defamation in relation to their reporting of allegations of sexual abuse by you, and I presume you are also sueing indymedia.ie for articles posted there.

Yours,
