Exit The Street is 5 friends from Cork, Ireland. They've been making music together for 5 years now. In 2005 they were finalists for Murphy's Live. In 2006 they won TG4's Deis Roc, A show broadcasted all over Ireland. Taking a break from winning things, Exit The Street decided to focus on more serious matters. In July 2008 came the bands second release, Just, A 3 song cd produced by Ciaran O Shea(Cyclefly) and mixed by Larry Fricke(Germany). Recently they have just finished shooting a video for the song Julie.

Also on the bill are Dublin's The Gorgeous Colours and Waterford's Shane Barry & The Distractions.

A night of pop music not to be missed!

The Gorgeous Colours

The Gorgeous Colours were formed over a period of some years, as two music-loving art school friends were gradually joined by a Franco-Dutch rhythm section. They have been musically active since 2006: almost three years of adventures, gigs, arguing over mixes, and laughing at each other's accents.

So far, their favourite moments have been:

- Having their debut single "Burning" described by Hot Press as "genius summed up in four and a half minutes".

- Seeing the follow-up "Hunting Something" reach number one in Phantom FM's chart in the summer of 07

- Touring Ireland with the sorely missed The Immediate in April 07.

Finally, their album is ready. Recorded in too many studios to detail here, the album was born over long days and oftentimes nights in various parts of Dublin, including Tim's dad's attic. Put together on a shoestring budget, it was built primarily on perseverence, love and the kindness of friends.

As a collection of songs, it reflects the love of its creators for many of the different forms in which music can be made and heard. Some songs are sweet, some are sour. Some are long, others not so long. Some are very different from others, and they like it that way. They humbly suggest that music need not be put into a box – the very concept is scientifically absurd.

************************************************************

"The marvellous thing with The Gorgeous Colours is that you never really know where their intoxicating music is going to take you next, yet you instinctively feel you can trust them to guide you. It's clearly going to be a fascinating journey, but for now 'Holy Moley' is the sound of the plot thickening very nicely indeed." - Whisperinandhollerin.com

"The sheer pleasure the band take in playing, combined with the energy and jubilant nature of the music, translates into one of the most enjoyable live bands in the country at the moment." - UCD College Tribune (Artist of the Fortnight)

Shane Barry & The Distractions

Since they began, Shane Barry and the Distractions have been ignoring the disco beat, the 1,2,3,4's and spiked guitars of modern music's biggest culprits. Instead, they have fashioned their sounds from the golden glare of 1970's fm radio. Their debut album 'Radio Friction' is due for national release early next year, but has already received great praise from within the industry. The band have sought out the mastering skills of Stuart Hawkes (Amy Winehouse) to give the album an old school 70's warmth.
The original lineup of 4 has expanded to include a brass section with all the moves of the Stax and Motown back catalogue! The band are on a nationwide tour, to promote debut single, 'Stop', which will take in supports with Ron Sexsmith, The Stunning and the Pale. For more info see www.shanebarry.com
