I've just set up a new Events calendar / forum here. Dunno if youse guys want it or not, but it'd cut down on the amount of sticky threads.

It's set up so that anyone can add an event, but they have to be approved by a moderator (at the moment that would be Mackle or Phil) before they can be seen. This should eliminate the inevitable not-very-relevant-to-eirecore listings that would be added.

I could also set up a user group for the regular promoters which would enable them to bypass the moderation queue - whatever suits yerselves.

If yis don't want it, no problem - I'll just remove it again.

i don't think i have the permissions set properly on it yet though... so nobody can use it.
