Damn...Weirdly enough in everything I've read they going after people who 'share' not 'download' - so newsgroups/rapidshare etc is fine just not Bit torrent and also its juts music and not other media..I wonder how many ppl will switch ISPs..

It's a case of "three strikes and you're out" for Eircom broadband customers who illegally share music online.

he company is introducing a pilot scheme which will see IP addresses used to identify offenders - who will get three warnings before their broadband service is cut off for a year.

Eircom agreed last year to put the system in place as part of an out-of-court settlement with the Irish Recorded Music Association.

About 50 IP addresses will be processed during each week of this pilot phase.
