maybe its that about 90% of bands 'in dublin' are invented on the basis of some guys going to college while moving to the city simultaneously, they are there 3 months and they've figured out the whole deal about everything that is 'city living' or whatever, thier music is primarliy informed by all the same things, so essentially in every city there is a tribe of bands that make up the bread and butter of the soundman scene that are essentailly all 18=24 year olds writing about the exact same things. i wouldnt limit this thread to dublin. cities tend to create certain types of bands.
