Dolittle presents...
YOUNG WONDER
+ guests
December 15th, The Workmans Club
Tickets available from Tickets.ie & Ticketmaster outlets Nationwide
Ring busies himself with a bounty of electronic gadgetry while Koeman happily grinds along to his every musical twist and turn, dropping an icy, somersalting vocal as she goes. Clueless happen-uponners and seasoned musos alike are instantly charmed by their blissed-out, hook-heavy tunes, particularly the handsomely glossy ‘Orange’ and the jittering, Avalanches - Sampling "Flesh" - Celina Murphy, Hot Press (The Camden Crawl Dublin)
We’ve been savoring this song ourselves the past few days, watching the play counter swell under the continual repeats. Calling the song a mixture of ear-catching production skills and enchanting vocal work would be an unjust oversimplification of Young Wonder’s brilliant new song 'Orange" - Ea

That EP is an impressively put-together first release filled with big beats, pitched vocals, euphoric synths, a sample from The Avalanches and Rachel Koeman’s sweet timbre -

Irish electronic pop act Young Wonder – consisting of Rachel Koeman on vocals and producer Ian Ring – make music filled with big beats, pitched vocals, euphoric synths and Rachel’s sweet timbre. Their debut 8-track self-titled EP Young Wonder is available both digitally and with a limited CD release on Feel Good Lost Records. It contains five original tracks from Young Wonder and three remixes from Sun Glithers, Sert One and Daithi.
With only three videos out in three months they have built up quite a lot of hype both in Ireland and globally. Their last single Orange has been played over 100,000 times and rose to 14 in the Hype Machine world charts. Their tracks have been featured on the Guardian Website, Hotpress, and XLR8R and have been played on BBC Radio 1 and 2fm, with their remix for The Kanyu Tree named as ‘Download of the Day’ on Today FM.
