Doctor help, my tascam is sickly... (1 Viewer)

Hey...


Can anyone help me fix a four track cassette tape machine? It's about ten years old, tascam (http://www.totallywildaboutmusic.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/07/100_0914.jpg) in good shape, I've looked after her well...

But just recently, the ‘play’ seems to be broken or warped or something – I now have to hold it down to hear playback. I don’t think it’s a headphone thing and the recording sounds fine…
I think it’s possibly a mechanical thing…. Gee bummer I’m really bummed about it.. so please if anyone thinks they can or knows someone who’d be able to help, I’ll pay good money…

Neassa, as I said on your myspace I can give you a Fostex 4-track but you'll need a power supply.

Doesn't sound like anything that a general hi-fi repair type place wouldn't be able to fix.
