Mailorder Update:

16 - Drop Out LP
Pessimiser Records 12,00 euro

"More riff-heavy power shit. More slower. More depressing. More apathetic vocals and lyrics. Ragingly morose, bleak-but-hook-laden songwriting. 16 flattens all."

Agent Orange - Living In Darkness LP
Get Back Records 13,00 euro

"Classic So Cal surf punk finally gets the proper vinyl reissue. Originally released on the infamous Posh Boy label in 1981 this classic is in the same league as "Group Sex" and "Jealous Again" in terms of ground breaking and influential hardcore punk. "Bloodstains" is quite possibly the best hardcore song ever written."

Black Sabbath - The Singles 6 * 7" Regular Edition / Leather Edition
Earmark Records 35,00 euro / 40,00 euro

"Six of their best singles and hits from 1970 to 1978, beginning with "Evil Woman" and ending with "Never Say Die" and also including "Paranoid", "Tomorrow's Dream", "Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath" and more. 6 7"s enclosed in some of the most beautiful packaging we've ever seen. All singles feature both the original artwork and the Japanese edition artwork as well."

Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath LP
Earmark Records 15,00 euro

"Quite possibly the most influental hard rock record of all time gets the proper vinyl reissue that it deserves. Everyone from Metallica to Black Flag has cited Black Sabbath as a huge influence and this ground breaking record is why. No fan of heavy music can not own this record. This album and all albums on the new Earmark label are super high quality collectable reissues of classic punk and rock albums. Features 180g vinyl, PVC dustsleeve, deluxe gatefold jacket, and are remastered, using all analog equipment, from the original tapes! They are a little pricey but they are meant as collectors' items and besides, we have them cheaper than pretty much everywhere else. Seriously, these records are all incredible looking, no cost was spared in reproducing these gems."

Black Sabbath - Technical Ecstasy LP
Earmark Records 15,00 euro

"1976's "Technical Ecstasy" marked a new chapter in Black Sabbath's multi-faced personality, crossing over into blues territory like in "You Won't Change Me" and featuring drummer Bill Ward as lead singer on the ballad "It's Alright." Comprehensively a more introspective work that hinges on progressive rock but comes full circle with the powerful closing track "Dirty Women."

Black Sabbath - Volume 4 LP
Earmark Records 16,00 euro

"A reissue of the classic Volume 4 album from British rock legends Black Sabbath, and their fourth album in two years. Originally released in 1972, the record features such classics as "Wheels of Confusion," "Changes," and "Supernaut." Packaged in a gatefold sleeve with the original artwork, including the original full-color, four-page photo insert."

The Boys - Alternative Chartbusters LP
Get Back Records 13,00 euro

"Originally released in 1978, The Boys' second album combines the poppy punk of The Buzzcocks with the boisterous rock bombast of the New York Dolls. Includes liner notes, lyrics, and bonus tracks."

California Love - Can't Waste Death 12" LP
Self Released 10,00 euro

"Members of Look back And Laugh on a grindcore trip. Great stuff."

Celtic Frost - Morbid Tales LP
Earmark Records 13,00 euro

"A reissue of the 1984 debut album from Switzerland’s CELTIC FROST. Led by the legendary TOM G. WARRIOR, the band had very precise ideas on how to impress an audience and make waves in the hard rock/heavy metal scene, providing the missing link between the NWOBHM sound of the time and the dark brutalia to come. A source of inspiration for many bands (Metallica, Sepultura, among others), Celtic Frost were in their own right, highly inspired by guitar mayhem trio Venom, for their bleak atmospheres and breakneck speed, but Celtic Frost’s unique blend was really like no other. Eight searing tracks, originally released on Metal Blade. "

Clockcleaner - Missing Dick b/w By The Door 7"
Hit Dat Records 5,00 euro

"Brand new single from Philadelphia's Clockcleaner. Recorded during the demo sessions for the magnificent "Nevermind" album these two gems didn't make the cut for the record but are fantastic nonetheless. "Missing Dick" is a Clockcleaner original while "By The Door" was originally written and recorded by the Crucifucks. Anti-social music."

Damned - The Stiff Singles 1976-77 5 * 7"
Earmark Records 30,00 euro

"A neatly packaged singles collection from their early days at Stiff Records, five singles including the famed first ever punk single and many other hits from the impressively chaotic pub-punk quartet. Features also Neat Neat Neat, Problem Child, Don't Cry Wolf, Stretcher Case Baby, all with their original artwork and b-sides in an all new box set."

Deep Sleep - You're Screwed 7" EP
Grave Mistake Records 4,00 euro

"Nine song debut EP from Baltimore's DEEP SLEEP. Prepare yourself for a nonstop barrage of raw, spiteful, in your face hardcore punk rock. Loaded with enough infectious hooks to keep you singing along from start to finish, while packing enough punch to knock you straight on your ass at the same time. Imagine what the DESCENDENTS would sound like if they were a city like Baltimore, and not Southern California. "

Discharge - Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing LP
Earmark Records 16,00 euro

"Discharge's 1982 debut LP. There are only a handful of early hardcore punk records more essential than this one and deservedly belongs in everyone's collection. This album and all albums on the new Earmark label are super high quality collectable reissues of classic punk and rock albums. Features 180g vinyl, PVC dustsleeve, deluxe gatefold jacket, and are remastered, using all analog equipment, from the original tapes! They are a little pricey but they meant as collectors items and besides, we have them cheaper than pretty much everywhere else. Seriously, these records are all incredible looking, no cost was spared in reproducing these gems."

Discharge - Why LP
Earmark Records 16,00 euro

"A reissue of the massive Why album from British hardcore devastators DISCHARGE. A classic ten-track assault of anger and violence, blasted with ferociously driving guitars and drums. Originally released in 1981 by Clay. Pressed on 180-gram vinyl with a printed inner sleeve."

Ghetto Ways - Party Down 7"
Wicked Singles 5,00 euro

"Rock stuff from this New York band. Raw stuff, minimal packing."

Ghetto Ways - Winks and Blue 7"
Wicked Singles 5,00 euro

"Brooklyn's bad boys and girl strike again with a cool new single from Savage and Wicked Singles. Two new raunchy, caterwaulin' punkers that will blow you away! 500 copies pressed worldwide. Get on the fuckin A-train now!"

Mailorder Update:

Ghetto Ways - Hidden Charms” 7"
Wicked Singles 5,00 euro

"And another 7" from this New York rock band. Now on tour in Europe to promote their LP on Alien Snatch Records. As always they 7"s are limited too 500 copies, so buy now or check ebay.de in 2 months."

Harsh Truth - S/T 7" EP
A 389 Records 4,00 euro

"Harsh Truth was a short-lived band with original Gut Instinct vocalist Rich Newberger as well as other members that went on to serve time in various acts in the Baltimore area. These two songs, recorded in 1994, paint an ugly picture of life in the mid-'90s, with a sound that rivals that of the harder bands playing around New York in the late '80s, borrowing from bands like Sheer Terror and Breakdown. This 7" is strictly limited to 300 copies."

Holy Ghost - S/T 12" LP
A 389 Records 10,00 euro

"Holy Ghost surfaced in Cleveland as a side-project/creative outlet for the Human Furnace of Ringworm fame. They released a demo tape in 1999 loaded with dark brooding hardcore in the vein of the Worm but with darker elements a little Neurosis, a little later Black Flack, you get the picture. Things never got off the ground since Ringworm made a full-fledged comeback during the same time this demo was released. Time managed to sweep this under the rug... until now! So, for the first time in six years the Holy Ghost demo is available."

Homo Stupids - Homo Stupids - The Brutal Birthday 7"
Testostertunes Records 5,00 euro

"The Brutal Birthday EP bundles a buncha post-Chrome synth/punk DIY distress that is as satisfyingly aggressive as cuffing a power-electronics fanboy."

Hunches - Fuck Disco Beats 7"
In The Red Records 5,00 euro

"A teaser EP to the August '04 Hobo Sunrise album from Portland, Oregon's hate-spewing rock'n'roll speaker splatterers the HUNCHES. The album track, "Fuck Disco Beats," is the band's response to the current crop of groups that think Gang of Four is a genre, while the two exclusive cuts, "When I Became You" and "Jakob's Voices," drive the loud and abrasive factor to new heights. Packaged in full-color gloss sleeves."

Hunches - Got Some Hate 7"
In The Red Records 5,00 euro

"Loud, noisy, aggressive rock n' roll--this is what THE HUNCHES are all about, and they deliver it in spades. Hailing from Portland, Oregan and averaging 21 years of age, The Hunches have knowledge of rock n' roll's heritage that betrays their youth. They draw on all the classic influences one would expect from any great rock n' roll band (Stones, Saints, Captain Beefheart, New York Dolls, Stooges, Cramps, '60s punk, '70s punk, blues, etc.) and manhandle it with an irreverent abrasiveness. A lot of bands are claiming similar influences, but The Hunches sound is totally their own. Pure nastiness filtered through rock n' roll romanticism. Just check out "Got Some Hate" for a dose of unadulterated punk rock bile. Their live shows are the things of legend--they tear shit up with reckless abandon. This is raw rock bliss. This is the debut single from The Hunches."

Hunches - Hobo Sunrise LP
In The Red Records 11,00 euro

"Bigger, badder and better than The Hunches' debut, Hobo Sunrise has monstrous fuzzball guitar explosions, overwrought screaming, poppy melody and a couple songs that are almost pretty. Shades of The Birthday Party, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Pussy Galore, The Velvet Underground and The Pixies can all be detected here, but the sound and presentation is completely original. This fourteen-song monolith is certain to be a standout rock moment in 2004."

Hunches - Yes No Shut It LP
In The Red Records 11,00 euro

"Loud, noisy, aggressive rock'n'roll - this is what The Hunches are all about and they deliver it in spades. Hailing from Portland, Oregon, and averaging 20 years of age, The Hunches have a knowledge of rock'n'roll's heritage that betrays their youth. They draw on all the classic influences one would expect from any great rock'n'roll band (e.g. Stones, Saints, Captain Beefheart, Dolls, Stooges, Cramps, '60s punk, '70s punk, blues, etc.), and handle it with irreverent abrasiveness. The result is totally their own. Pure nastiness filtered through rock'n'roll romanticism. "Got Some Hate" is a dose of unadulterated punk rock bile. "The Ballad" is pure heartfelt slow-dance groove. Their cover of The Electric Eels' "Accident" is total, fuzzed-out noise (literally; there are three separate vacuum cleaners overdubbed on this song, one which is inhaling screws)."

Intelligence - Icky Baby LP
In The Red Records 11,00 euro

"Seattle, Washington's Lars Finberg is unstoppable and responsible for some of the best music blasting out of the underground at the moment. Lars structures the A-Frames' post-apocalyptic pop world where he handles drum duties. Then there's the diabolical Dipers, where he throws down that lo-fi noisy rumble of burning trash and car-wreck rock wiping the shit blood all over your blue suede shoes. But his main vehicle, The Intelligence, combines the best of all worlds in a wonderland of sonic horizons, poppy dance field rock, and if ya have time to think, brilliant lyrics. Intelligence utilize melodic acoustic guitars with wire-cutting electric riffs, crushed keyboards, jumping jack fun drums and singalong vocal melodies. The recording sounds like they crawl inside a beat-up trashcan to bang out the hits while tumbling down a granite mountain covered in volcanic ash."

Jawbreaker - Etc 2* LP
Blackball Records 20,00 euro

"Etc. is the long-anticipated collection of A-sides, B-sides, covers and outtakes by the band Jawbreaker. Maybe you've heard of these guys.
As one can imagine, the founding fathers of emo have quite a collection of tracks that never made it to any of their four studio albums. There's something for every mood on this Alpha-Omega of rare and previously-impossible-to-find songs.

Presented chronologically, the journey begins in November '88 with a track recorded on the first Jawbreaker demo (before they were even known as Jawbreaker), and ends 20 songs later with the trio's final studio recording, a version of "Boxcar" re-worked at the end of the DGC Dear You sessions (hey, the studio was paid for). There's plenty of creme filling in the middle and it's all good, brother."

Kreator - Pleasure To Kill LP
Earmark Records 15,00 euro

"A reissue of the second album from German heavy metal piledrivers KREATOR. Pleasure To Kill shows the band perfecting the sound first unleashed on their 1985 Endless Pain album, adding speed and doomish atmospheres to the thrash metal genre. Brutal, fast and savage."

Mailorder Update:

Living Hell - Living Hell 7" EP
A 389 Records 4,00 euro

"Now available on 7" and limited to 600 copies! Calling both Massachusetts and Connecticut home, Living Hell intend to dominate and horrify with this, their debut five-song EP. Taking major cues from cleveland bands like Integrity, Ringworm and In Cold Blood, this quartet use guitar solos, chugging riffs and a few melodic breaks to paint a bleak picture of the world that is pushed over the top by its misanthropic lyrics. Features members of Follow Through, Fear Tomorrow and Dead Wrong."

Look Back And Laugh - Look Back And Laugh LP
Lenqua Armada Records 12,00 euro

"Twelve new hard hitting '80s style hardcore tracks with raging vocals from this great Bay Area band. Look Back And Laugh features members of Yaphet Kotto, Dead And Gone, Destroy, and Talk Is Poison so you know they have a high quality resume! This is their second LP. There were 1,500 LPs made and like their first LP once they are gone then it will be sold out. So get it while it lasts. Awesome hardcore."

Lost Sounds - Future Touch 12"
In The Red Records 10,00 euro

"Bands are supposed to grow, but many do not. The Lost Sounds of 2004 do not sound like the Lost Sounds of 2000, and that's how things should move: forward-like. Some bands excel at what they do, and they do it over and over and over and over, but this holding-pattern bullshit will not cut it if rock music is to move into The New. This new Lost Sounds EP is a snapshot of a band comfortable with putting their own stamp on several ideas (as opposed to styles), all in the name of progression. The Lost Sounds do not "pick up where some other band has left off," or piggyback on hot location-based trends. There is pop on Future Touch, and the pop has hot, never-leave-your-head hooks (especially the compact "Rearview Mirror"), but the pop also runs through a wash of urban psychedelia density. Metal has marked past Lost Sounds releases, and "Tyrants Head" is Chrome and Darkthrone and The Lost Sounds all bundled together in two-and-a-half minutes. The EP's anchor, the longer "Black Flowers" could be a missing Tubeway Army B-side, if, you know, The Tubeway Army were a better band with clipped, wild-ass guitar solos. "Trails/Fears," a hot, chaotic mess of guitar and gorgeous keyboards is so great it's over before it begins."

Lost Sounds - S/T LP
In The Red Records 11,00 euro

"Memphis, Tennessee's Lost Sounds' fourth full length in as many years-- their first for In The Red-- is by far their most infectious and catchy to date. Their demented, aggressive approach is still intact, but never so perfectly presented and crafted as it is here. Not one song from Future Touch (released July 2004) is carried over, though that EP is still hot-hot-hot on the lips and ears of synth-punk maniacs everywhere."

Operation S - S/T LP
Broken Rekids 12,00 euro

"Operation S is from Paris, France and have been together 2 years. Their record sounds like a long lost late 70's punk/new wave band. Think Dirtnap style or think Briefs with female vocals. The recordings have a rough punk guitar sound with great vocals by Cecilia (No Talents) and cool not wimpy keyboards. Operation S is Cecilia and Iwan from No Talents and Loud Mufflers! With Fred and Nicus from Terribles and Anteenagers. The CD also has a cool video clip of "Delinquante".

Phobia - Destroying The Masses 10"
Pessimiser Records 10,00 euro

"Since the early '90s, Phobia have been "gettin' busy" in the metal/hardcore community, playing mostly death metal shows early on, and punk/power violence shows more recently. With a CD for Relapse (Return to Desolation) and another for Slap a Ham (Means of Existence) both receiving all the usual menacing grimaces of approval, Phobia has survived several line-up changes, and found themselves requiring, on various occasions, the services of members of Dystopia, Mindrot, and Mange. They play a Terrorizer-influenced form of grind/death, but with high and low vocals. Personal/political lyrics and a strong DIY ethic is the reason the punkers like 'em; meanwhile, the metalheads can't get enough of the triplets and double-kick blast beats."

Pink Fairies - Kings Of Obivian LP
Turning Point Music 16,00 euro

"Originally released in 1973, Kings of Oblivion is the Pink Fairies third and final studio album with Larry Wallis on guitar. Tracks include 'City Kids' (famously covered by Motörhead) 'I Wish I Was a Girl', and 'Street Urchins'. The drug-fueled Pink Fairies sprung from West London's hippie scene and included former members of the Deviants (Mick Farren) T-Rex (Steve Took) and Pretty Things (Twink)."

Registrators - Imagination World 7"
Broken Rekids 5,00 euro

"A pair of brand new unreleased songs from the legendary kickass Japanese band REGISTRATORS. Powerful, crushing, out of control, melodic punkrock at its finest. This is limited edition 7" which will go out of print soon so you snooze you lose, fanboy. These two catchy new songs are NOT on the forthcoming Rip Off records REGISTRATORS singles compilation."

Sex Pistols - There is No Future LP
Earmark Records 13,00 euro

"The legendary Sex Pistols studio demos produced by Dave Goodman at Denmark Street, Gooseberry and Wessex Studios in 1976 and 1977. These rare and historical sessions have been remastered and include "I Wanna Be Me", "Dolls (New York)", "Anarchy In the UK" and much more. Pressed on 180 gram virgin vinyl and housed in a sturdy PVC sleeve."

Sham 69 - The Albums 4 * LP
Earmark Records 50,00 euro

"Formed in the working-class community of Hersham in 1975 by singer JIMMY PURSEY, SHAM 69 was the voice of the people in the first wave of British punk. Proletarian and proud of it. This special set contains all four of the band’s original albums--Tell Us The Truth, That’s Life, The Adventures of the Hersham Boys, and The Game. "

Time Flys - Fly LP
Birdman Records 12,00 euro

"Straight outta Oakland, California: Sir Eric "The Masher" Von Ravenson, Andy Freeze (aka Andy of The Cuts), Erin Error and Peter P. Juvenile summon the eternally nasty 16-year-old through the time-tested formula of guitar, drums, bass and sneering face. Dig the debut album, Fly, by The Time Flys. This is a rock 'n' roll album out of time. This baby sounds like an authentic lost nugget from the pre-punk midwest landscape that would've fit nicely along side Unnatural Axe, The Penetrators, Suicide Commandos and The Gizmos. Featuring razor-bite titles like "In My Skool (Cool's the Rule)," "Dirt (My Best Friend)," and "The Teen-Age is the Stone-Age," this is rock 'n' roll realism at its realest. Punk's final resurrection starts here; you better dig quick, Jack! Or get left on the stack!"

Time Flys - Reality 7"
Birdman Records 5,00 euro

"The Time Flys return with another 7" single! Two new songs "Reality (Is A Rock Band)" and "Shark Song". Side B is a cover of The Jewels "Opportunity". Recorded in Oakland at Studio Bronzo in the fall/winter of 2005, this is a taste of the new full length album due out by the end of the year. The Village Voice described the Time Flys as : "Past Rock n' Roll heroes sped and weirded up and seen through an ancient-to-the-future drug haze"

Time Flys - Wet Ones 7"
Birdman Records 5,00 euro

"2 song 7" from The Time Flys. A-side is The Wet Ones backed by Christine (Humble Warrior) on the flip. Recorded at Peppy's Hot Dogs, Oakland, CA 2004."

Tyrades - Tyrades LP
Broken Rekids 12,00 euro

"The Tyrades, Chicago's first and only punk band, are like a rabid bat flying out of a time machine from 1978's San Francisco punk gutters. They've been destroying themselves and audiences for 4 years now. This is their first full length after 3 EPs on Broken, Rip Off and Big Neck which garnered rave reviews in every publication you can think of including the cover of last months Maximum Rock and Roll. Imagine The Screamers' angst reborn in the 21st century. Along with the Lost Sounds, Le Shok and the A-Frames they are destroying the boundaries of what's punk."

Venom - At War With Satan LP
Earmark Records 16,00 euro

"Released shortly after their 1982 epic Black Metal, Venom's third album, originally released in 1983, found these thrash pioneers at the height of their popularity and creative ability. This time the unholy trio were expanding their sound, kicking the album off with the brutal, side-long concept track that gave the album its title. 180 gram vinyl."

Wisdom In Chains - Vigilante Saint 7" EP
A 389 Records 4,00 euro

"Following up their Spook City debut, Wisdom In Chains churn out another four songs, including a cover of the Black Sabbath classic "Children of the Grave". This band melds together Sick Of It All with Blood For Blood and have been playing out weekend after weekend in their area, proving them to be one of the most sincere and hardest working bands around today. Strictly limited to 600 copies."

X-Ray Spex - Germfree Adolescents LP
Earmark Records 14,00 euro

"A reissue of the jaw-dropping 1977 Germfree Adolescents album from punk idols the X-RAY SPEX. All twelve sax-powered, female-screeched songs you know and love. 180-gram vinyl pressing. Up yours, indeed."

Agathocles / Excruciating Terror split 7" EP
Pessimiser Records 5,00 euro

"Got some copies of the great split, AG were still good on this one, but ET blos them away to be honest. Great L.A. grindcore. "

V/A Possessed To Skate LP
Pessisimer Records 12,00 euro

"41 brutal power violence and hardcore epics 'specially crafted to incite verticality. SPAZZ, DESPISE YOU, CHARLES BRONSON, ASSHOLE PARADE, PRETENTIOUS ASSHOLES, PALAKA, UNANSWERED."

Re: Distro update october 2006: Black Sabbath Part 1

Black Sabbath - The Singles 6 * 7" Regular Edition / Leather Edition
Earmark Records 35,00 euro / 40,00 euro

"Six of their best singles and hits from 1970 to 1978, beginning with "Evil Woman" and ending with "Never Say Die" and also including "Paranoid", "Tomorrow's Dream", "Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath" and more. 6 7"s enclosed in some of the most beautiful packaging we've ever seen. All singles feature both the original artwork and the Japanese edition artwork as well."

this is a deadly little package.
