diabetic icing (1 Viewer)

Sounds icky. Most-sugarless treats are not worth the affect they have on your body. I used to buy my dad sugarless candy until my nephew got into it and ate too much. let's just say you'd be spending the night in the loo if you over indulged. Corn syrup is probably just as bad as sugar but here:

Isnt Splenda just the wrong chiral version of sugar? Like, the molecule is left handed, and the body just doesnt see it as sugar but it still tastes sweet.
I think Splenda would be ok.

It will taste manky, but, be ok sort of thing. I think.

Corn syrup, no. Can't use that. That is normal, right handed, sugar, it just comes from corn rather than sugar beet or whatever.

I figured that was probably the case...I'd be footless in no time if I were diabetic. Lucky it normally skips a generation.

Skipped me too, HIGH FIVE!

Cheers all, think I might just try a normal recipe substituting the sugar with summat else. How great it tastes to me isn't a huge deal, diabetics are used to foul tasting "sweet" things.
