David Mc Williams documentary on the economic crisis (1 Viewer)

The production values were hilarious and it was pretty ironic that the show probably cost a shit load to make considering the topic on hand.

So what exactly is the origins of those bullshit modern production values. Obviously trying to copy programmes from C4 and BBC but what genius came up with the idea of "ok so lets get the presenter to stand in the middle of a field and the camera will be really far away and we'll do a really quick zoom in and then they say their lines, and we're doing for absolutely no reason in particular".

Brasseye did a great pisstake of all that shit with the camera zooming into Chris Morris inside a phonebox when he was saying his lines.

I learned what derivatives were. Didn't know that before.

I thought the forensic cop finding a bag of white powder labelled "EASY CREDIT" was complete Win.

But yeah, dumbed down a little too much, and the levels of expenditure exceeded the levels of creativity a little also. Like a lot of things on RTE it nearly worked. Nearly.

Ah yeah that's the one. Who wants to start a band called Snackbox Man?

Great minds think alike.

I prefer a Dinner Box. With a breast upgrade.
I had one for me lunch from Luigis in Harmonstown 2 weeks ago.First time ever.Puked my guts up.Wrecked my Friday feeling bigtime. Was too greasy.Chippers dont know how to fry chicken.

I'm a pescetarian but if I'm ever diagnosed with terminal cancer the first thing I plan to do is go to the Fingal Café in Swords and order a Dinner Box. Sad but true.

A Pescawhatnow?

Leave it out would ya!

“Ireland and Australia are one trick ponies” Cut to split screen of McWilliams on a horse drawn carriage one half of the screen him babbling on, the other half the horse....

I was dissappointed with the conclusion he came to. He and most of his guests spent more than half of last night's show saying stuff I know already and/or agree it, that amount to the system needing to be radically altered if any hope of a stable economy is to be achieved. I wasn't expecting him to go advocating socialism or anything but I was curious to see what his solution would be. Then his great plan turned out to be the exact same system, but calling it a green economy.
