Absolutely terrible stuff. Anyone watching it? There's no information in it at all. Its just him making melodramatic statements and lots of irrelevant footage.

"We were gambling with people's lives." - Footage of David in a casino playing roulette.
"..leaving the world's economy in a critical condition" - Footage of a patient on life support.
"...money disappeared into a black hole" - Graphics of a black hole.
"We wanted to live like those on Ramsay Street" -David on the set of Neighbours. Whats Neighbours got to do with anything?
"We were addicted to credit" - Footage of people smoking crack.

How much did it cost the TV Licence payer/Tax payer to send David to Ramsay Street?

He was also in New York, Italy, a credit card factory in China. It looked like he just blew the budget on a world tour and then told us what we already know over and over while he showed us his holiday pics.

His books are okay when they avoid that marketing archetype bullshit like snackbox man etc. but his documentaries are universally risible. He dumbs things down about 15 notches too much.

Snackbox man  Is that Breakfast-roll man his too?

if it was made by RTE it might be FOI-able

if it was made for RTE, probably not

I was just being facetious - didn't know you could trace this stuff. Thats cool. I'm too lazy to "follow the money" like David does though. I'll probably leave it at just expressing outrage on the internet.

I thought it was alright, even if all the dumb metphors were annoying. A lot of people find economics really groan-inducing and that's why it was so dumbed down and simile/crappy graphics-laden. Did you see those graphics? They must have blown the budget on him travelling the world. I knew from the first scene when he was strolling around in what looked like Antarctica that people would complain about that aspect.

The main problem with the show is that it was trying to say that a small number of bad eggs were responsible for the crash, when anyone can see that it is the entire system that makes these crashes inevitable.

he's so smug cause he predicted the crash. he's actually happy about it cause he gets loads more air time. the foppish fuck.

That sounds amazing.
