DAT to cd? (1 Viewer)

I'm sure this is in the wrong place so sorry,but does anyone know of anwhere in dublin tat can provide this service? If yopu know how much it wouls cost that would be good too. I have an old Dat of an old band of mine and reckon it's about time to put it on cd.Thanks

hey eoin, may as well chance my arm, do you know how to get from mini dv tape to dvd at all, or is that gonna cost me a considerable amount?

DV tape -> dv camcorder -> firewire cable -> firewire card / port in mac or PC -> dvd authoring software -> DVD writer -> DVD

depending on the length of the footage / amount of editing required (if any) shouldn't take too long / cost much (if anything). Lots of modren PC's & mac's come with all the doodahs necessary as standard.

mini dv tape > dv player/camera > s-video cable > dvd-recorder > dvd

if you're one of the lucky few to have such a device as a standalone dvd-recorder.
