i'd kill to do Under Pressure with Betamax if i could get someone to do the Freddie parts

amazing

maybe Hot Thing by Prince

i gotta make this happen

Do a wham! song well, like REALLY well.
not a stupid pop-punk cover or travis style acoustic version or ironic joke way.

And Place in the Country by Adam Ant

i always thought the cover of Rush Hour by Joyrider was excellent.
the original is brilliant.
I would love to cover it in my 'Acid Skiffel' band.

Groom did a cover of Last Christmas by Wham!, and released it as a split single with Stoat. I think Stoat did God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

it was 100% sincere, at least the Groom part was. And I think the Stoat one was too, since Egg is one of the most sincere people you could ever meet.Yeah....well, apart from the bit about jesus being the saviour, as Egg is also one of the most staunch atheists around.....

Rage to Love by Kim Wilde

can't imagine pulling it off without it being unbelievably embarrassing though

I just want bands to have back up singers and dancers and shit

:)
God Rest Ye was my favourite Christmas carol since I was a little chap. We've never covered a song we didn't love, even though some fool reviewer once said we were "flying the kitsch flag a little too high" with Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Nothing kitsch about Stoat, bize, everything we do we do with love
