Cork invasion (1 Viewer)

saw sultans of ping narrowly avoiding getting torn some new assholes in limerick one time, be careful up there, it was limerick i suppose

FREE SHOTS FOR FIRST COUPLE OF PUNTERS AT THE GIG. No need to go tin'n round the corner, come in early and have a sexy male waiter pour you a shot. And if this doesnt float your boat, why not just take the bottle of spirits off whoever is serving them and down it in their face-free entry guaranteed then.

The Sultans in Limerick show at the Royal
that was Mark Lane dishing out beatins bigman
wasnt it?

twas Mark Lane and Noose Power who got up on stage alright...they bate no-one though...the singer with SOPFC had a wine bottle as protection!

an angry mob formed outside the back of the royal afterwards waiting for them. it was priceless.

anyone know what SOPFC thought about it all?

spot on with the green gathering there. loads of bare feet and potatoes been eaten raw like apples.

potatoes eaten raw like apples...who are you flann o brien?
green gathering was full of rich hippies driving down in their s.u.v.s and lecturing us about drinking buckfast and not eating enough veggies...good fun though.

i am from waterford. this is neither cork nor dublin.

Ah, Cork and Dublin both have similar live scenes - some great music, some terrible music. Having lived in Cork for 5 years and Dublin for the last 3 they both have plus points. Cork gigs tend to be events when you meet everyone you know at the gig but Dublin is bigger so there tends to be more on. Choose yourself...

Longford kicks the arse of every other county with a population under 40,000..|..|

I can only think of two bands from Donegal, Berkeley and The Terribles.

Berkeley
Aurel
The Evangelists
Sexman 4
The Black Dahlias
the madpooka
The Revs(unfortunately)

love berkely. SOme tight ass outfit they are. I remember the Revs indeed. I believe they are still touring around the place?? Never really hear them on the radio and things.(probably better off=)....ah no thats mean.

Has anyone else noticed that alot of n.ireland bands seem to become more successful regardless of them being any good. Maybe they just work hard to get signed up there while bands down here dont really give a poop in the face.....

Lots of bands in N.I gear their entire existence around getting signed by some big label or some shit.
Personally, I'd much rather make some good music, have fun, and not give a shit about where it goes.
