My current fave: The Bloody Mary (for breakfast)

Couple measures of Vodka
A few ice cubes
Fill 'er up with tomato juice
Throw in like six drops of tobasco sauce
Throw in a splurge of Worcestershire sauce
Slice of lemon
Salt and pepper
Mix with a stick of celery

mmmmmmmmmmm

some people say add a dollop of horse radish, which sounds "!!!", but I don't have any (does wasabi count?)

great hangover cure - as a buddy of mine says, it's like a glantoir on a dusty blackboard

post your recipes here

(oh and picture dudes, can I pre-empt all pictures of cocks or tails with an ironic "har de har")

my favourite coctail

2L coke - cold
700ml vodka (either boro, smirnoff, huzzer - prof not cheapie shit)

  • pour out 700ml of the coke.
  • pour in the bottle of vodka
  • invert to mix
  • garnish with pills if necessary

cool sea breeze.

big slab of ice(freezer bag laid flat filled with water)
break this up put in a glass.
pour vodka over ice
cranberry juice.

you should be wasted on four if you are doing it right.

What are you doing on this thread? Shouldn't you be making empty vows of abstinence to yourself right now, rather than talking about your favourite cocktail?

white russians:
equal parts vodka and kahlua,
ice,
fill up with milk,
if you feel like it put a little (just a little) bit of cream in also.
(using cream instead of milk makes it too heavy, and you get more full than drunk)

Long Island Ice Teas

Expensive and time-consuming work assembling the ingredients but worth the wait...

This is the typical recipe:
1 part vodka
1 part tequila
1 part rum
1 part gin
1 part triple sec
2 parts sour mix
Add Coke to taste & plenty o ice.

We used cointreau for the triple sec and we made our own sour mix - 1 part sugar, 2 parts water, 2 parts fresh lemon juice. Combine sugar and water until all the sugar is dissolved. Add lemon juice and refrigerate.

i have invented a few classic cocktails in my day.

the dangerous donal
double gin with smirinoff ice mixer, sprig of parsley, 1 ice cube.

Benylagne (pronounced ben -e- lane)
1 bottle Champagne & i bottle Benelyn cough mixture.
(dont let the chemist give you the nondrowsey shit)

Fucked up pissed pants
Hennessy and bailys.

The snorted hymen
Cherry coke and dark rum.

Substitute Milk with Baileys for a White Russian With Love.

Turbo Shandy (for students and mentallers only)
Pint glass- 1 Smirnoff Ice, 2 vodkas, fill with lager

Sham Fuck
1 part Cheap, nasty, fizzy 'champagne' from foreign
1 part Alcopop du jour
1 shot zambuka

None of your fancy stuff.

I invented a topical cocktail during the weekend before the G8 summit.

'The G4'

A heavy dollop of Vodka (russia)

2 slaps of Gin (Britain)

2 or 3 seconds of Cognac (France)

And top it off with a coke fizz blast. (USA)

Garnish with a priest of lemon.

Voila, now the rioting should follow.

My mates coined the name 'vogingnac' to mean a lethal mixture of whatever spirits are lying around at the end of the night (obviously vodka, gin and cognac the first time they did it - yeauk).

My own fluke of a creation was simply:

Finches Lemon + Danzka Currant

friend of mine had just flown back from holidays and had got the Danzka in duty free and the lemon was the only mixer left in the gaff. it tastes great. any fizzy lemon and currant vodka will do the trick.
