Clockwork Apple Presents: Sweet Jane, Kowalski & Clockwork Noise
August 6th - Upstairs Whelans - €10
Kowalski and Clockwork Noise provide support to Sweet Jane (and a massive score in scrabble come to think of it...) on August 6th, proving that there is definitely reason to get out and about early!
Sweet Jane weave sultry male and female vocals into a heady mix to create their potent and darkly glamourous pop-tinged rock. Having had a roller coaster year touring the UK and Ireland, sharing stages with Black Rebel Motor Cycle Club, BP Fallon (Death Disco) and The Kills to name but a few, there followed the immense success of the band's appearance at Oxegen last month which acted as a pre amble to the release of debut album "Sugar for My Soul" - described by Hotpress as "Majestic".
Having played alongside people like Editors and Two Door Cinema Club, Clockwork Apple's very excited about getting Kowalski to come down to Dublin and take a break from delighting their legions of fans up north, giving us a chance to enjoy their shimmering, beautifully layered harmonies and sythy-pop. For anyone into Postal Service, Pheonix or Grandaddy Kowalski are a must see!! Clockwork Noise are set to open the show - having steadily built a reputation for delivering energy and fervour when live, they'll be fresh from kicking up a storm at the Knockanstocken Festival and ready to go again.
