So i know sole traders can do it, along with other companies and so on and so forth; but can or how do dandy artist fop-hippies claim for things like paint and 'research' matieirials (porn)? I cant register as a sole trader or i l0ose tax exemption eligibility, and i cant claim tax exemption if i'm registered as a sole trader.

Can it be done?

How do you do it?

are you registered as self-employed? or is that what you mean by sole trader...
anyway it should be deductable expenses from your net profits on the tax return.

I'm told artists ar'nt classified as sole traders; god knows why. Nor do i pay tax on any sales of work, so...i... cant deduct...expenses from tax i dont already.... wait....

yr gonna have to get off the fence, homes. Just a question of whether you jump off and land on the "sole trader" or "artist" side. And yr gonna have to start declaring your income, if only so you can claim expenses against the portion of it on which yr taxed (if any - bear in mind that there's a minimum)

I know so little about this that Im tempted to stop typing now , but as far as I know there's some way of being a cheeky lad about it , and if you are renting a place off somebody to display or basically if there is someone who can technically be your employer, you can claim all sorts of shite .
